Patrick Fagan joined the team of attorneys at Allison • MacKenzie in 1981. Since that time, he has specialized in the areas of public utilities, transportation law, environmental law and administrative law. Mr. Fagan is the most senior attorney in the firm to offer expertise in utility law—representing geothermal electric projects and large industrial/commercial customers of public utilities. He also represents local governmental entities and motor carriers.
Mr. Fagan is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell Law Directory and is listed as one of The Best Lawyers in America in the field of Energy Law. He has practiced before the Public Utilities Commission, Department of Water Resources, the Transportation Services Authority as well as state courts and the Nevada Supreme Court. He also has a number of professional affiliations including the Washoe County Bar Association, First Judicial District Bar Association, American Bar Association, the State Bar of Nevada, Geothermal Resources Council, Phi Alpha Theta (the National Honor Society in History) and the Transportation Lawyers Association.
A long-time northern Nevada resident, Mr. Fagan graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno and then went on to the University of San Diego School of Law where he obtained his law degree in 1973. That same year, Mr. Fagan was admitted to practice in Nevada and one year later was admitted in the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada.
